Ghosts of Christmas
Well I have been a moderately busy lady lately. I spent a good portion f October making my daughters Halloween Costume. She was Silvermist from the Tinkerbell movie. And a very cute blond Silvermist she made. At the last minute before her Halloween party I decided to whip up a matching outfit for one of the Mini Kimi Dolls I made for our yard sale. Needless to say this doll did not make it to the yard sale.

Note her cute little wings. I used velcro to attach them to the back of the dolls dress. She has been dragged all over the place by my two year old and those wings have yet to fall off.

Last year I made three little crochet ghosts for Halloween. I had them hanging from our window until my daughter pulled them out. This year they stayed in the window. I finally pulled them down a few days ago but my daughter did not want me to. So I decided to turn them into the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future. It was really simple. I just crocheted a few scarfs and then added some wreaths for each one. The hardest one to decide on was actually Present. The Ghost of Christmas Past has the nice green wreath and I added some red berries. The Ghost of Christmas Future has a black wreath and we just went with a nice yellow wreath for Present.

Christmas Ghosts

To make the wreaths I decided I did not want to do any form of crocheting in the round. I chained a straight line until it was long enough to wrap around the ghosts ‘head’ with a little extra to sew together when finished. Then I single crocheted back along that line once. For the Green wreath I then began with five double crochets in one hole, chain 1, single crochet in next 2 stitches and repeat. Finish and tie the ends together and you are done. For the black wreath I did the same thing as the first but during row 3 I made 3 single crochets, chained 5, single crocheted back to the start, made 4 single crochets and repeated till the end. For the yellow one I did the first two rows the same as before and then for row 3 I did 1 single crochet, 1 chain and skip the next stitch, then single crochet again and repeat until you are done. I think they came out looking very cute.
